FSFSA Preschool CanSkate Program

Preschool is a learn to skate program for ages 3 to 5 .  This program is designed to give skaters a positive first experience on the ice.  Skaters learn through creative activities and teaching methods which are age appropriate.  This program will focus on positive reinforcement, basic skating skills, having fun, and will help prepare children for the Fort Saskatchewan Skating Club’s Canskate Program.   

Recommendations:

*1 skating experience prior to the first class

Equipment:

*CSA Approved Helmets are Mandatory.  No exceptions will be made!

*Skates should have good support around the ankle area.  Your child should be able to walk off the ice in their skates without their ankles folding over. 

Preschool Registration Fee’s / Class Information

All of our Preschool Classes are offered once or twice a week. Session #1 of classes will run for 10 weeks beginning in October.  Session #2 of classes run for 8 weeks beginning in January.   An additional Spring session will also be available throughout April/May 2012.  Schedules and prices will be announced.

Session #1 (October 6^th to December 10^th, 2011)

Session #2 (January 3rd to March 12^th, 2012)

PLEASE NOTE:  There will be no classes February 4th, 23rd, and 25th.

REGISTRATION FEES:

10 weeks, one day per week       $80.00

8 weeks, one day per week         $64.00

Skate Canada Membership Fee:   $33.00  (annual fee)

Mandatory Fundraising:                $50.00 (per family per season)
